"With that kind of cash they could solve the problems with fuel cells and other renewable energy sources." The New York office of the ad agency I work for won part of the Exxon account this year. I'm afraid to go into too much detail here (don't want to get fired for breach of confidentiality), but I'll just say their upcoming commercials are very interesting in an LOL kind of way.

America, when you go to the Voting Booth, I hope you remember this
by jayhawk1 inyet another reason i am voting against all but one local incumbent.... exxon mobil posts $10.49b profit in 3q .
by steve quinn, ap business writer 34 minutes ago .
oil industry behemoth exxon mobil corp. said thursday its third-quarter earnings rose to $10.49 billion, the second-largest quarterly profit ever recorded by a publicly traded u.s. company.. the report comes as high crude prices this year have fueled record profits in the oil industry, triggering an outcry from consumers who were being asked to pay about $3 a gallon for gasoline in early august.. the largest quarterly profit ever was exxon mobil's $10.71 billion profit in the fourth quarter of 2005.. they may beat that next quarter, said howard silverblatt standard & poor's senior index analyst.

One episode was on last nite, a female customer came to him to complain and he told her to take her breasts away from his service area! I nearly wet myself, although she went on to destroy all the dishes prepared for one table.
Sounds like the season we just had over here. Do you want to know who wins?
What I don't like about Ramsey is that he doesn't teach. I guess it's easier to yell, "Shut the f--- up, you fat, lazy cow!" than to show the person how to cook the food properly.

I miss my dad during football season (now). Go Bears!
My younger brother is the one person I just can't let myself think about...ever. When my itunes randomly shuffles to "Bobby Jean" by Bruce Springsteen, I lose it every time. That was our song when we were friends and the lyrics are about losing track of someone you love.
My mom used to talk to me, but she's all dead now, so I miss her in a more hopeless way.

I had heard of her for years, but what motivated me to finally go out and buy a CD was the scene in "Saving Private Ryan" where the soldiers are waiting for the Germans in that bombed out town and one of them brings out a phonograph and plays an Edith Piaf record. Very haunting and beautiful.

Who did Jesus die for?
by Perry ini met a really nice couple once who went to an orphanage in a foreign country and adopted a little girl.
impressed with their goodness i probed a little as to why they had done such a noble thing.
surprisingly, the man told me that this was their third child to adopt.

How do you deal with the disorganized world?
by free2beme inokay, this is kind of an odd point, but bothers me.
in my time away from the witnesses, i have been involved in things like trade shows, athletic competitions and even some work related events.
in all cases, i am often surprised at how annoyed i get with people who can just not organize an event.

I also notice, that when it happens, it irritates me that people can not figure out what seems like such basic skills to me. Does anyone else notice this about the rest of the world, that many of them are disorganized messes?
Yes, and it's not just disorganization that bothers me, it's also a refusal or lack of desire to step up and take responsibility, even for mundane things. I feel like I'm the only one in my department at work who will volunteer for tasks and because of this, my boss just automatically delegates to me. It's nice to know he counts on me, but I'd like to see someone else do the shit work now and then.
I had jury duty for the first time earlier this year and I ended up being the forewoman because no one else, even those who had served on juries before, stepped up. We literally sat in the jury room for several minutes staring at each other with no one saying a word until I started a conversation about the case. And it was like pulling teeth to get opinions out of everyone. However, all things said and done, I did enjoy it and even wished for a few minutes that I could do it for a living.
I always feel proud of myself after I do something no one else will. Except for when I clean my bathroom...twice a year...without fail.

I remember back in 2002 when I first had to deal with an empty nest. It was hard. It takes about six months of evolving to begin to put in better perspective. You'll adjust with time, I promise you will.
You know what scares me now is I'm afraid I won't adjust with time. My daughter is the one person I talk to about everything. The weeks when she's not with me (I share joint custody with her da) feel so much emptier than when she's here. It gets to be Friday night and I don't even care that I have a weekend off work. All I care about is that when the weekend is over, I get to have her back on Monday. I seriously don't know what I'm going to do with myself when she's gone.

being curious about why people do or act the way they.
do led me to this discussion.
